Walker collects awards

Eighth grader Tyson Walker was a standout in the MATHCOUNTS competition.

A HUGE congratulations to Tyson Walker for his performance at MATHCOUNTS.

He tied for 1st place at the regional competition against Ramstein, Kaiserslautern and Wiesbaden and finished in 6th place in the European Countdown Round - a head-to-head competition. He also placed 10th in all of DoDEA in the regular competition.

Amazing job, Tyson! Way to represent Baumholder Middle High School!

Class of '25 caps off Baumholder career

The Class of 2025 celebrates by throwing their caps in the air.

Greetings BMHS Community,

For those of you who joined our 68th Graduation Commencement Ceremony, thank you for your attendance and support. We offer our recent Class of 2025 graduates a hearty congratulations, kudos, and best wishes in their future endeavors!

Just a few updates and additional celebrations to share!

First, please join me in congratulating our BMHS CTE Video Communications Team and Program Advisor, Mr. Vu, for a 1st Place Win in the "News Feature" category of the inaugural DoDEA Student Film Festival regional program. Baumholder's Video Comm Team's award-winning videos competed across the region, advancing to the final regional competition and evaluation to determine this year's winners!

Great job, BMHS, on 1st place in the News Feature category, "Baumholder Basketball."

Second, great news for our incoming 9th-grade students!

All 9th-grade students will enroll in Pre-AP English Language Arts (ELA) in their 9th-grade year. This course will count towards requisite graduation requirements for English Language Arts and prepare students for writing and reading literacy rigor during their high school years. Before your students experience any apprehension about this course, please note that it is not an Advanced Placement course. However, students will still receive the benefits of Advanced Placement skill building with no end-of-year examination.

Benefits of Pre-AP English Language Arts include:

  • Builds Strong Reading & Writing Skills
    • Pre-AP ELA emphasizes close reading, evidence-based writing, and critical thinking — all essential skills for success in high school and beyond.
  • Prepares You for AP and College-Level Work
    • The course introduces strategies and skills you'll use in future AP classes and college coursework, helping students feel more confident and ready.
  • Engaging and Challenging Content
    • Students will explore thought-provoking texts, multimedia sources, and engaging discussions that foster creative thinking and innovation.
  • Helps You Grow as a Communicator
    • Pre-AP ELA emphasizes speaking and writing clearly and effectively — skills that are valuable in every subject and future career.
  • Increases College and Career Readiness
    • Studies show that students in Pre-AP courses are more likely to succeed in AP, graduate on time, and be better prepared for college.

The final days of school year 2024-2025 are coming to a close. We have had a fantastic year and shared many successes for our students.

Of course, we want to end this year on a high note for our students academically. Please be sure to stay on top of your child’s academic progress using ASPEN to monitor their final grades and reach out to your student’s teachers if you any questions or concerns.

School ends on the 10th of June, half day dismissal at 11:00 AM with buses departures.

The 2025/2026 school year begins on the 18th of August 2025 with New Student Orientation occurring on the 15th of August at 1300 (TBD).

Next week will be our final newsletter but we will keep the Baumholder MHS website updated for the community with upcoming events and instruction information.

Best wishes and enjoy your weekend!

Respectfully,

Ms. Zamor

Incoming traffic gate changed

Due to an ongoing event near the golf course, all inbound traffic to get to Baumholder Middle High School is diverted back to Gate 1 until June 11.

All vehicles must still exit Wetzel Kaserne via the Lower Wetzel Gate to Rohrbacher Weg which leads to the Esso Gas Station on Berschweilerstrasse.
