Bucs, Lady Bucs kick off sports seasons

Leai V. hits the ball over the net for the Baumholder Lady Bucs.

Baumholder Middle High School began its Fall sports seasons on Sept. 12 with volleyball and football hosting Spangdalhem and cross country competing in Kaiserslautern.

The Lady Bucs fell to Spangdahlem in two matches, dropping the first match 13 – 25, 14 – 25 and 21 – 25. Baumholder took two-of-five sets in the second match but lost 10 - 25, 25 – 22, 25 – 23, 21 – 25 and 14 - 16. The junior varsity squad took picked up a win for the Lady Bucs, 25-12 and 25-15.

The Buccaneer football team kept it close but were unable to close to the gap late against Spangdahlem, falling 36-25 in their season opener.

Main gate reopened
